Cops: Hanover Park man had 0.324 BAC in Streamwood crash

Police say a Hanover Park man was driving with a blood alcohol content more than four times the legal threshold when he fell asleep at the wheel and crashed early Sunday in Streamwood. Rafael Camarena, 22, who was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, had to be extricated from the wreckage. Full story.

Truck with 38,000 pounds of trail mix crashes in Elmhurst

A tractor-trailer carrying 38,000 pounds of trail mix crashed Monday on the northbound Route 83 ramp to eastbound I-290 in Elmhurst, police said. The rollover crash remained under investigation, and no charges had been filed. Full story.
