South Elgin High School Monday named Nathaniel Bowman to take over as the school's new boys soccer coach.
Bowman was born in Berwyn but his family moved to Barcelona, Spain when he was 5 and he began playing soccer shortly thereafter. At 17, Bowman was seen by a semipro coach in Spain who asked him to play for his team, which Bowman did for one year before returning to the U.S. and attending Wheaton College.
