Des Plaines Girls Softball to Celebrate Opening Day

Des Plaines Girls Softball kicks off the 2013 season with their 1st Annual Opening Day Celebration this Saturday, April 27. There will be a pre-game ceremony on the field before each game, where each player will be introduced, line up on the baselines for the National Anthem, and a special guest will throw out the first pitch. Don't forget to check out their concession stand and enter to win great raffle prizes! All games will be held at Iroquois Field (between Iroquois Community School and the Park District Leisure Center) starting at 9:30am, and will run on both diamonds all day.

12:00pm - South Diamond - Des Plaines Fire Dept. Intermediate Division - Dr. Barry's Mighty Molars vs. North Suburban Family Medicine

2:00pm - North Diamond - Des Plaines Police Dept. Senior Division - Barnaby's vs. Rand Red Hots

2:30pm - South Diamond - Des Plaines Fire Dept. Intermediate Division - Dr. Barry's Mighty Molars vs. Northwest Animal Hospital

4:30pm - North Diamond - Des Plaines Police Dept. Senior Division - Barnaby's vs. Dr. Zanoni's Livewires

5:00pm - South Diamond - Des Plaines Police Dept. Senior Division - Dr. Durbin's Embraceables vs. Matula Plumbing Eliminators
