Streamwood language academy open house

Streamwood High School’s World Languages and International Studies Academy will host an open house for incoming eighth grade students and their families to receive their schedules and summer homework and get a taste of the Spanish, Japanese, and Mandarin cultures they will be studying. Ethnic foods and dances will be part of the event for the 90 students who will receive the equivalent of six years of language studies in four years. The event will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 25, in the Streamwood High School Auditorium, 701 W. Schaumburg Road, Streamwood.
