Lakes reaches double digits in victories

Lakes d. North Chicago: Lakes got its 10th win of the season with a 25-12, 25-6 sweep of North Chicago. Alex Verhagen led the Eagles with 9 digs while Mason Solbrig had 6 kills and Richard Galat and Dalton Solbrig had 4 kills apiece. Galat also had a team-high 8 assists and 5 aces.

Vernon Hills d. Zion-Benton: Vernon Hills outlasted Zion-Benton 25-17, 21-25, 25-15 as setter Ryan Opitz was a blocking machine. He was a part of 8 blocks, including 2 solos. Tyler Small and Lemuel Turner added 6 and 4 blocks respectively for the Cougars (13-3 overall). Michael Heinz came to life in the clutch for the Cougars, tallying 7 of his team-high 13 kills in the third game. Danny Rosenstock and Turner each had 6 kills and Max Spiglanin added 5 kills for Vernon Hills. Spiglanin also finished with a team-high 11 digs while Opitz rolled up 28 assists
