Indian Trails Library Director Announces Resignation

The Indian Trails Library District announced today that Director David J. Seleb will leave April 24 to become the Executive Director of the Oak Park Library in Oak Park, Ill. Seleb was hired as the director in November 2011. During his tenure he was instrumental in completing a strategic planning process; enhancing customer services, programs, and technology for members; opening a new branch facility in Prospect Heights; and streamlining the library's management team and other staff positions.

“Although we are sad to see David leave, we understand that this was a tremendous professional opportunity for him,” said Walter Salganik, library board of trustees' president. “The board of trustees is grateful for the many positive changes he made to the library and is confident that our management staff will continue on the path of growth and innovation he has established at Indian Trails.”

Salganik anticipates that the board will hire an interim director and that the process to obtain a new director will be completed within six months.
