Endorsements: Hatfield, Pickering, Riley, Wall for Fox River Grove Dist. 3
Voters in Fox River Grove District 3 will pick among five candidates to fill four open seats. Patrick Riley, Timothy Hatfield, Stephen Pickering and Patrick Wall are endorsed. A fifth candidate, Michael Olencheck, did not participate in the endorsement process. Hatfield is an impressive teacher who is retiring from U-46 but still wants to contribute to public education. He will bring a unique perspective and will make students’ needs a priority. Pickering, the only incumbent, isn’t letting his guard down despite District 3’s good financial footing, and he’s a strong advocate of getting more people involved with the board. Wall and Riley will bring business backgrounds to the board along with a solid knowledge of board operations.
