The Round Lake Area Park District is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy on its five-member board of commissioners. The seat became open because of the recent resignation of a board member who is relocating. Any interested person is asked to submit a letter of interest by April 19 to the Executive Director of the park district at 814 Hart Road, Round Lake, Illinois 60073. Candidates will be interviewed in early May, with an appointment to follow. The appointed member will serve out the remainder of the term, ending in April, 2015. Interested applicants are asked to call Bob Newport, executive director, at (847) 546-8558, beginning March 15. Interested candidates will receive a Prospective Board Member information packet and instructions on the selection process.
