Elgin
• Saul Guzman, no age given, of the 200 block of Windsor Court, South Elgin, was arrested Feb. 28 and charged with five counts of aiding/abetting possession with intent to sell a stolen vehicle, according to a police report. After numerous reports of vehicle thefts beginning Feb. 6, police placed a bait vehicle with a GPS tracker near Harvey and Hawkins streets. When the vehicle was shown to be on the move Feb. 28, police began to follow it until it arrived at an auto parts scrap yard in Woodstock. Police arrested the driver, Guzman, and executed a search warrant with the assistance of the McHenry County's Sheriff's department. Authorities found Guzman had brought four other stolen vehicles there. He was paid $400 for each vehicle.

• An Aurora man was charged with predatory criminal sexual assault after police say he assaulted a 12-year-old girl. George N. Oliver, 59, of the 500 block of West Fifth Avenue, was arrested at 4 a.m. Saturday after being accused of assaulting a 12-year-old girl on the 8400 block of South Vincennes in Chicago.
