Vernon Hills High School is seeking help to ship charitable packages to its sister school in Uganda. The school wants to pack about 300 shoe boxes with small gifts for Ugandan children and ship them to the main airport in Entebbe, Uganda. In 2009-10, the high school community raised $32,500 to help the Vernon Hills-based COVE Alliance charity build a school in the small village of Kapeeka, Uganda. Support of the school has continued with sponsorship of individual students and sending delegations of teachers and students to visit Uganda. Any company or group that ships internationally or is interested in helping the gifts reach their destination can contact Monica Tolva at monica.tolva@d128.org or (847) 932-2039.
