Geneva, Ill., February 2013—Delnor Health & Wellness Center, a member of Cadence Health, located at 296 Randall Road, Geneva, is hosting the 13th Annual Multisport Madness Triathlon Team (MMTT) Youth Triathlon on May 26, 2013. This race is designed for the beginner athlete looking to tackle their first triathlon to the experienced triathlete. In addition to offering normal distances for kids aged 6-16, the Kids' Triathlon includes a "Youth F-1 Elite" wave in order to give some of the 12 to 16 year old athletes on the local MMTT, in addition to any other participants with race experience, the opportunity to compete in a draft-legal race that is similar to the national competitions in which the team competes. This is one of the only draft-legal races for youth athletes in the region and contains some of the rising stars of the sport.

The race is split into 3 divisions:

Juniors (6 – 10 year olds) – 125 meter swim, 2 mile bike, .5 mile run.

Seniors (11 – 16 year olds) – 125 meter swim, 5 mile bike, 1 mile run. · Elite (Maximum age 16, previous sprint distance experience required) – 375 meter swim, 6.2 mile bike, 1.55 mile run.

The Junior Race will begin at 7:00 a.m. The Senior Race will follow once all the Junior racers have completed the bike course. The Elites will go off after the Seniors have completed the bike course. All racers should make sure they bring some extra warm clothing to wear while waiting to go off. (You won't be able to get back into transition area once the race starts.)
