Gurnee Elementary District 56 hosts its second annual Black History Month Program on Thursday, Feb. 21 starting at 6:15 p.m. The program will be at Prairie Trail School, 13600 W. Wadsworth Road, Wadsworth. This is a districtwide program with student representatives from all district schools participating. Maurice Byrd, the retired superintendent of curriculum and instruction for Zion District 6, will be the guest speaker. The event is open to the public.
