Gar Forman, Judy Baar Topinka to speak at Buffalo Grove chamber events

Gar Forman, general manager of the Chicago Bulls, is the scheduled speaker at the Buffalo Grove Area Chamber general membership meeting 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, at The Arboretum Club, 401 W. Half Day Road. The buffet lunch and the program begin at noon. Cost of the meeting is $18 for members and their guests and $25 for nonmembers. Guests are always welcome. The chamber also announced that state Comptroller Judy Baar Topinka will speak to a group of chambers at a special lunch 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Cotillion Banquets, 360 S. Creekside Drive in Palatine. She will discuss a new business initiative called the POWER Program and also the current financial climate in Illinois. The cost is $25 if registered by Feb. 21 and $30 for late registrations and at the door.
