Avon Township seeks applicants:

The Avon Township Board is accepting applications to fill a vacancy in the elected office of township clerk. The vacancy was created when former clerk, Lisa Rusch, replaced Sam Yingling as supervisor after Yingling was elected the House District 62 representative. The clerk’s term is set to expire May 20. Any interested applicant can pick up an application packet at the township supervisor’s office, 433 E. Washington St., Round Lake Park. Application packets are available from Jan. 25 and must be returned by noon Feb. 5. Applicants must be a resident of Avon Township and a registered voter or able to register to vote. The township includes all or parts of Grayslake, Hainesville, Round Lake, Round Lake Beach, Round Lake Park, Round Lake Heights and Third Lake.
