Millburn Elementary District 24 is seeking applicants to fill a vacant seat on the school board that had been held by Lisa Scanio, who resigned Dec. 19. The term is for an unexpired two years, which would begin upon selection and end with the spring 2015 election. At that time, the selected member would have to the choice to run for a full term. A prospective candidate must be a registered voter and district resident for at least one year. Candidates cannot be a school trustee, school treasurer or have been convicted of a felony. Those interested should apply in writing to the Millburn C.C. School District 24 Board of Education in care of Jason Lind, Superintendent, 18550 Millburn Road, Wadsworth, IL 60083 by 4 p.m., Friday, Jan. 18.
