Bensenville mans body found in Elmhurst
Elmhurst police are investigating the death of a Bensenville man, whose body was found along the banks of the Salt Creek Monday afternoon.
The body of Russell Winkler, 45, was identified by members of his family Monday evening, Elmhurst police said.
At 1:20 p.m. Monday, Elmhurst police officers responded to a report of a body along the banks of the creek behind Diplomat West, 681 W. North Ave. Police said it appeared that the victim had been dead for more than 24 hours. The official cause and manner of death are pending.
