Lisle, Wheaton police ramp up DUI patrols

Police in Lisle and Wheaton on Monday launched holiday traffic-safety campaigns that will run through New Year’s Eve. Both municipalities are targeting impaired drivers and seat belt violators as part of the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” effort headed up by the Illinois Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The campaign focuses on the hours between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., police said.
