Mr. Sunny Chopra, a restaurateur with more than 28 years experience in the restaurant industry and a chain of creative restaurant concept success stories on his resume, has announced the opening of his latest restaurant concept - Cactus Zone. "This is my proudest accomplishment yet as a restaurant enthusiast and entrepreneur," Mr. Chopra said beaming with pride. "I envision Cactus Zone as a popular national chain in the next few years."
The concept for Cactus Zone was born from the streets of Mexico. Mr. Chopra and his team were inspired by the purity and fresh taste of Mexican ingredients and street food. They conceived of catering this amazing rainbow of spicy and peppy food to the American palette as a bar food experience, starting in Mr. Chopra's Midwestern neighborhood of suburban Chicago. "Not too heavy, just the right flavors to keep your tongue on it's toes" says Mr. Chopra. The idea was to keep the street authenticity, add enough twist to make it unique, and make it gourmet quality without making it intimidating. In the end they wanted to give the customer more of what the customer wants without making the common mistake of drowning the rich flavors with sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes and cheese.

Mr. Chopra and his team believe that the novel concept of serving such food as appetizers in a hip modern bar setting is what today's generation wants, and Cactus Zone will deliver it.
Cactus Zone is serious about the freshness and authenticity of its menu. Their zone-like menu is simple and affordable -- Tacos, all under $4, but sumptuous and flavor-rich. The unique fusion of ingredients in their signature creations, like the triple cooked "lengua" taco, perfectly compliment their tequila flight collection. Their signature guacamoles, such as the Chiapas style cabbage pico de gallo guacamole, are carefully crafted for texture, taste and an intentional after-kick.
Cactus Zone's gluten-free corn tortillas are hand rolled, fresh, made to order. Their drinks are fascinating too, featuring a variety of Tequilla-based cocktails that celebrate the Chiles of Mexico by mixing spicy tequila cocktails.
Cactus Zone's executive chef is Mr. Jorge Flores who brings 20+ years of experience in several poplar midwestern restaurants. He has spearheaded the creation and perfection of Cactus Zone's signature recipes. His Latino background and love for everything vintage Mexico has been a great influence and a natural fit for Mr. Chopra's vision for Cactus Zone.
The staff is having a blast preparing for takeoff and patrons will surely feed off of their exhilaration. The small community of Sleepy Hollow is looking forward to a thriving restaurant creating a buzz and a new hang out place coming to the neighborhood.
