Island Lake Chamber Expo offers opportunities for businesses, consumers

Join the fun at the Island Lake Area Chamber of Commerce Community EXPO from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8.

This free community EXPO is part of the Island Lake Area Chamber of Commerce’s Shop Local campaign and provides an opportunity for local businesses and organizations to meet with members of the community and showcase their businesses.

Cotton Creek Elementary School, 545 Newport Court, will be filled with local entrepreneurs eager to discuss how their business can provided needed goods and services for local residents. Industries include carpet cleaning, insurance, retailers, home remodeling, travel, home repair services, printing services, pet services, car repair and more.

Supporting local businesses is also of benefit to residents. By purchasing locally, they help grow the tax base in their community and help keep friends and neighbors employed. This supports local services such as the fire department, and helps to keep the roads in good condition.

All attendees ages 18 or older can participate in drawings for a free iPad and other prizes. Enjoy the many entertainers featured in the crafters, food and talent venue.

Children can visit with Santa. Bring a camera, or there is an option to purchase a photo of Santa and your child for $5. Proceeds benefit the ILACC’s scholarship fund.

Activities include:

타 Smooth Moves Dance Troupe presents local dance talent.

타 Energy Sports Complex will perform karate.

타 Happy Tails Ranch’s dog demonstration.

타 Cotton Creek Elementary School students display their talents.
