Carpentersville

• Brandon A. Cannady, 28, of the 1100 block of Morton Avenue in Elgin, appeared in bond court Friday, on charges he had cocaine and drug-related items in his possession on Thursday, police said. Cannady was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, three counts of aggravated assault to a police officer and one count of resisting a police officer. Cannady's bail was set at $30,000 and he needs to post 10 percent of that amount to get out of jail prior to his Dec. 14 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.

Huntley

• Christmans tree lights on the 10600 block of Lone Star Way were reported damaged Nov. 23, police said.

• A 15-year-old boy from Huntley was arrested at Huntley High School Nov. 19 and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, police said. He was later taken to the Kane County Juvenile Detention Center.
