• Eddie Camarillo, 30, of the 2100 block of Valley Creek Drive in Elgin, was charged with residential burglary this week, a police report said. He is accused of burglarizing an apartment on the 200 block of Plum Street between May 16 and May 19. The report said Camarillo filled a large bag with items, but abandoned it because he couldn't get it through a partially opened window. The report also said jewelry was missing. His bail was set Friday morning at $75,000, of which he'll need to pay 10 percent before he can get out of jail while his case is pending. Camarillo's next court date is Nov. 20. If found guilty of residential burglary, he could spend between four and 15 years in prison.
