There are good drinks all around. Reel one in at the Reel Club on Mondays with half-priced bottles of house wines, including Hahn chardonnay from Monterey or Bridlewood Pinot Noir from California. Or stop by the Barracuda Lounge for half-priced appetizers from 3 to 6 p.m. every weekday. Favorites include the Acapulco roll with Ahi tuna, avocado and jalapeño. Drink faves include the pomegranate-orange martini or a gin rickey with lime.

Two cultures blend at a wine dinner that pairs Italian wines with Asian-cooked pork starting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at PL8 Simply Asian. Italian wine pairings are Winebow/Vintage Wines and include the Zardetto Private Cuvee Prosecco, Tasca D'Almerita Regaleali Bianco, Castello Di Neive Barbera D'Alba, Leone De Castris Salice Salentino Rosso Riserva and the Bera Moscato D'Asti. Eats include pork ribs, braised pork, pork loin skewers and crispy spiced pork belly. $60 per person, not including tax and gratuity.

Flippin' Fridays
Get in the flippin' tournament every Friday at Hawthorne's Backyard. Flippy cup tournaments start at 8:30 p.m. It's $5 to enter and $9 per pitcher of domestic beer. Other specials include $3 craft and import drafts. Hungry? Stop in before the tourney for the King James fish fry.
