10 catalytic converters stolen from U-Haul lots in Northwest suburbs

Catalytic converter thieves continued to strike in the Northwest suburbs this week. Overnight Monday, thieves struck U-Haul lots in Des Plaines and Mount Prospect. They stole the catalytic converters from five Ford box trucks at U-Haul, 1560 Mount Prospect Road, in Des Plaines, and the catalytic converters from five Ford box trucks at U-Haul, 2400 E. Rand Road, Mount Prospect. In each case, the value was estimated at $6,800.
