LongHorn Steakhouse opens in Schaumburg

On Monday, October 1, Schaumburg received its newest restaurant: a LongHorn Steakhouse opening at 1901 East Golf Rd. led by Managing Partner Carlos Pedroza.

LongHorn Steakhouse prides itself on providing guests with a cut-above steakhouse experience through its food – most notably expertly grilled, boldly seasoned steaks – and friendly service, all in a setting that celebrates the rugged landscape of the American West. With a goal of becoming America's favorite steakhouse, LongHorn currently operates more than 390 restaurants in 36 states.

The 6,270-square foot restaurant seats more than 240 guests and has helped create approximately 80-100 new jobs for the surrounding community. As part of the restaurant's pre-opening training period, the restaurant hosted a Friends and Family night with proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

The opening was celebrated with a ribbon cutting, where Mayor Al Larson and other city and restaurant officials were in attendance.
