DES PLAINES, IL-(October 4, 2012) - The Women's Imaging Center at Holy Family Medical Center, 100 N. River Rd., Des Plaines, offers women the option to pay $130 for a screening mammogram. Accredited by the American College of Radiation (ACR) Holy Family Medical Center's Women's Imaging Center offers new, all digital mammography with CAD (computer-aided detection),on-site dedicated board-certified radiologists, a Nurse Navigator, easy scheduling with same and next day appointments, early morning, evening and weekend hours.

"October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we know that lack of health insurance is often a barrier for women who should have a screening mammogram each year," said Larry Scimeca, Director of Radiology, Holy Family Medical Center. "Many women believe that because they don't have insurance, they will not be able to afford a mammogram, and we are trying to make it as affordable as possible for them to get this screening that could save their life."
