D128 offers community classes this fall

The Libertyville-Vernon Hills Area High School District 128 community education catalogs for the fall have been mailed and registration is in progress.

You can visit the community education website, comed128.org, to check out the full selection of classes.

This semester, the program includes 170 classes in the areas of arts and crafts, computers and technology, cooking, dance, finance, gardening and other subjects.

Register online or call (847) 932-2176. Some classes fill quickly, so register early.

The community education program partners with several organizations to offer classes. The program continues its partnership with Stevenson High School’s PREP Community Education Program, and it has expanded partnerships to include the Lake County YMCA, Lake County Forest Preserve District, Cook Memorial Public Library District, D128 Foundation for Learning, District 214’s CET travel program, local businesses and area first responders.

The program will continue its online partnership with Ed2Go, and has added UGotClass, which offers online classes and certificate programs that are provided by colleges and associations with expert instructors.

Senior citizens with special gold cards receive discounts on many of the classes. Call (847) 932-2176 for specific details.
