Elgin library to host book sale

Everyone is invited to the Book Sale Extravaganza Thursday, Sept. 20 to Sunday, Sept. 23. This fundraiser for the Gail Borden Public Library Foundation will feature thousands of used books, videos and CDs for all ages sorted by topic.

Most books will be priced at $1 to $2 with a few collectibles priced higher. The book sale will be held in the Community Rooms at the main Gail Borden Public Library at 270 N. Grove Ave. in Elgin.

The fundraiser will begin with a Friends Night from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20. For early bird shopping on Sept. 20, become a Friend of the Foundation; the fee to become a member is $25 for individuals, $50 for a family and $500 lifetime.

The sale will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, and Saturday, Sept. 22, and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23.
