Avon Township hosts Touch a Truck:

Avon Township government will host its third annual Touch a Truck event on Saturday, Sept. 8. It will run from 1 to 4 p.m. on the township grounds at 433 E. Washington St., Round Lake Park. Avon Township officials said they'll work with local fire and police departments, libraries, park districts, villages and their highway department for the free, family-oriented, hands-on event. Visitors can get up close with all of the vehicles on display, officials said, and there will be goodies for children including coloring books and stickers.
