More charges for Lombard man accused in 7-Eleven stabbing
Additional charges have been filed against a Lombard man accused of stabbing two people outside a convenience store near Glen Ellyn.
Nicholas Beaudoin, 23, was indicted by a DuPage County grand jury Thursday on charges of aggravated battery, armed violence, mob action and possession of a stolen motor vehicle, according to court records.
Prosecutors said Beaudoin punched and stabbed two men, including one who is physically handicapped, on July 1 outside a 7-Eleven at 2S651 Lloyd Avenue near I-355 and Butterfield Road.
According to court records, the handicapped victim was treated for a punctured lung. Both victims were knifed in the torso, one of them repeatedly, prosecutors have said.
After the attack, Beaudoin’s girlfriend, Alyssa Cortese, 23, of Lombard, fled in a 2009 Audi A4 belonging to one of the victims and totaled it in a crash moments later, authorities said.
Beaudoin remained jailed Friday on $100,000 bail. Cortese has been charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle and is free on bond. Court records indicate a third person is suspected but has not been charged.
Beaudoin and Cortese are due back in court later this month.
