Wheeling holds bike safety rodeo

The Wheeling Police Department and the Indian Trails Public Library will be hosting a free bike rodeo from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at the Indian Trails Public Library, 355 S. Schoenbeck Road.

The event will take place in the east parking lot behind the library and is meant to enhance bicycle safety, fun and awareness. It is geared toward children from 4-12 years of age. Bring bikes and helmets if you have them. There will be safety checks, bike registration, helmet checks, traffic simulations, free pizza and drinks, and child fingerprinting.
