Palatine Law Firm Receives Ethics Award

Lavelle Law, Ltd., a fifteen attorney law firm in Palatine recently received recognition for their community efforts from the Palatine Rotary Club. The firm was the recipient of the Al Knox Corporate Ethics Award for their commitment to ethical standards in the workplace and community.

This is not the first award of this type for Lavelle Law as they were named Business of the Year by the Palatine Chamber of Commerce in 2009, received a special commendation from the Palatine Township Board for efforts on behalf of the Palatine Township Food Pantry in 2010, and earlier in 2012 received the Annual Award for Business Excellence. Partner Kerry Lavelle and other members of the firm were on hand to accept the award presented to a Palatine corporation that displays and promotes high ethical standards.

“We're proud members of the Rotary and have always had great respect for the work they do in Palatine. We are honored to receive this award,” said Lavelle. “In our profession integrity and ethics must never be compromised and receiving an award of this nature means a great deal to all of us.”

Lavelle Law, Ltd. relocated from downtown Chicago to Palatine in 2003 and has been an active member of the community since that time. Lavelle and many of the staff members are involved in a wide range of local organizations, and have served on numerous boards of service and not-for-profit groups. “We are committed to making a substantial contribution to the community as part of our normal course of operation.”

For the past eight years Lavelle Law has run the annual Palatine Food Drive to assist the Palatine Township Food Pantry and for the last three years has also organized the Palatine Bowl flag football game with the Palatine Police and Fire Departments to raise funds for worthy causes in Palatine.
