Open house for new parks building in Wheeling

The Wheeling Park District is hosting an open house at the new Parks and Facility Services building to give residents an inside look at the equipment and people who keep the parks safe and beautiful.

The open house will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 16 at the building, 245 Egidi Drive in Wheeling. The new 39,000 square-foot facility, with over 33,000 square feet of warehouse space, houses the district's vehicles, mowers, tools, and equipment. The building also features office space, a project shop, and a tool storage area.

Centrally located to the District's operations and adjacent to the Park District's Northside Park property, the building replaces the existing facility located at 222 S. Wolf Road which is being torn down as part of the Heritage Park Redevelopment Project.
