Here is a look at how the teams shape up for the Sept. 25-30 Ryder Cup at Medinah Country Club:

U.S. point standings: 1. Bubba Watson; 2. Phil Mickelson; 3. Matt Kuchar; 4. Hunter Mahan; 5. Keegan Bradley; 6. Jason Dufner; 7. Ricky Fowler; 8. Steve Stricker; 9. Tiger Woods; 10. Bill Haas; 11. Brandt Snedeker; 12. Ben Curtis. (Top eight plus four captain’s picks make team).

European team leaders: Current point standings would provide a team of Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), Peter Hanson (Sweden), Martin Kaymer (Germany), Justin Rose (England), Paul Lawrie (Scotland), Luke Donald (England), Lee Westwood (England), Graeme McDowell (Northern Ireland), Sergio Garcia (Spain), Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano (Spain) plus two captain’s picks.
