Have your antiques appraised:
Ela Historical Society and Museum will host an antique appraisal event on Sunday, May 20 at 2 p.m. at its facility at 95 E. Main St., Lake Zurich. Bring in your favorite antique or collection and have it appraised by Penny Welch, a certified appraiser from Long Grove. The event is open to everyone and there is a cost of $5 per item, with a maximum of two items. For information, call (847) 438-2086.
