Mann Award nominees sought:

Gurnee-based Woodland Elementary District 50 is seeking help from parents and community members to recognizing an outstanding teacher by nominating him or her for the Alan Mann Tribute to Excellence in Education Award. The award is named for a former Woodland board member and active member of the Gurnee community. To honor his commitment to education, Woodland recognizes teachers who demonstrate effort and commitment beyond normal expectations. To participate in the nomination process, check out surveymonkey.com/s/2HVNMVP. The nomination form takes up to 10 minute to complete. A Woodland staff committee, which also will accept internal nomination, will narrow the nominees prior to recognition in late May. Nominations close May 9. Questions may be directed to Woodland’s Steve Thomas at sthomas@dist50.net.
