Woodland Foundation hosts auction

Woodland Educational Foundation will hold a fourth benefit auction at 7 p.m. April 28 at Hunt Club Park Community Center, 920 N. Hunt Club Road in Gurnee.

Known as Woodland Wishes, the event will offer opportunities at gift baskets, authentic sports memorabilia and items made by children attending the Gurnee-based Woodland Elementary District 50 schools. Auction proceeds will support requests from Woodland staff to fund innovative projects, technology and increased opportunities with the arts, science and extracurricular activities.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. They may be purchased at all Woodland schools and District 50's headquarters building at 1105 N. Hunt Club Road in Gurnee. For more information, contact Woodland Educational Foundation Executive Director Penny Dagley at (847) 553-7095 or at
