Most Lake County towns support electrical aggregation

Voters in most Lake County towns agreed to let their home municipalities decide the best rates to pay for energy suppliers.

With all precincts reporting in Lake County on Tuesday, unofficial vote totals show voters in Antioch, Barrington, Buffalo Grove, Deer Park, Deerfield, Gurnee, Highland Park, Highwood, Island Lake, Kildeer, Lake Bluff, Lake Forest, Lake Villa, Lake Zurich, Libertyville, Lincolnshire, Lindenhurst, Long Grove. Mundelein, North Barrington, North Chicago, Riverwoods, Round Lake Beach, Round Lake Park and Vernon Hills supported allowing their towns to seek the best overall price for electrical aggregation.

Voters in Barrington Hills, Park City, Wadsworth and Waukegan rejected the measure.
