Longtime Prospect Hts. park commissioner steps down

Prospect Heights Park District is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy on the park board now that longtime Commissioner Bernie Olson has resigned due to health issues. The park board accepted his resignation Tuesday evening. Olson has served on the park board since 1976. The candidate selected to fill the vacancy will finish out Olson's term, which ends in April 2013. Applicants must have lived in the Prospect Heights Park District for at least one year, be at least 18 years old, a registered voter and U.S. citizen. Applicants should submit a letter of interest and a one page resume to the Prospect Heights Park District Administration Building, 104 W. Camp McDonald Road, Prospect Heights, IL 60070 by 5 p.m. on Feb. 14.
