Vernon Hills poms presents clinic

The five-time state champion Vernon Hills High School varsity poms squad will present its annual 'Junior Cougar Dance Clinic' open to girls, ages kindergarten through 8th grade on Saturday, Jan. 21, at the high school, 145 Lakeview Parkway. Clinics will be 8 to 10 a.m. for grades K-2 and 10 a.m. to noon for grades 3-5 and 6-8. Grades K-2 will perform that evening during halftime of the Cougar boys' junior varsity game, while grades 3-5 and 6-8 will perform at halftime of the boys' varsity game that evening. Cost is $30 and includes dance routine instruction from the varsity pommers, T-shirt and hair ribbon. Call (847) 918-9512 or email
