Mount Prospect Sunrise Rotary Club elects new officers

Hoffman Estates resident Marcin Bos was elected president of the Rotary Club of Mount Prospect, Sunrise, for the 2011-’12 Rotary year. An assistant vice president and banking center manager at MB Financial Bank’s Mount Prospect branch, Bos was installed during a recent awards ceremony and dinner.

Sunrise Rotary’s new president-elect and club service chair is Marilyn Genther, executive director of the Mount Prospect Public Library.

The new vice president is Lindy Westerfield, president of Green Gardens Landscape & Installation Inc., Mount Prospect, who also will serve as community service chair.

Rhonda Serafin, manager of adult education and family literacy at High School District 214 Community Education, was elected treasurer and secretary.

Howard L. (Tad) Huntington, an attorney and partner with Williams Montgomery & John Ltd., Chicago, was named vocational services chair.

Other members of the Sunrise Rotary board include: international service chair, William Beattie, attorney with The Law Offices of Thomas Glasgow, Ltd., Schaumburg; foundation committee chair, Anthony Canonaco, certified public accountant/financial adviser, APC Financial Group of Mount Prospect; fundraising chair, Susan Dozier, Mount Prospect branch manager, American Chartered Bank; membership chair, Michael Putz, president/chief financial officer, Energy Veterans, located in Mount Prospect; public relations chair, Harold O. Wyckoff Jr., D.D.S., of Des Plaines; immediate past president, James Helm, retired structural engineer; and End Polio coordinator, Brian Gilligan, professor of business and accounting and chair of the department of business technologies, Morton College.

The club is part of a global network of volunteers that comprises about 32,000 clubs in more than 200 countries. Its mission is to provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build goodwill and peace worldwide.

There also is an afternoon Rotary club in Mount Prospect.
