Algonquin/Lake in the Hills chamber hosts Cruise Night

The Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for its final Cruise Night for the summer from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, at Oakridge Shopping Center in Algonquin, in the parking area across from Sonic Drive-In, 1090 S. Randall Road in Algonquin.

The chamber’s Cruise Night has been a family event for all ages. Visitors continue to enjoy visiting with the car enthusiasts, sampling local business products, music and activities.

Also participating is the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District with their Touch-a-Truck program.

To help the local food pantry, visitors and car enthusiasts are encouraged to bring a nonperishable food item and, as a thank you, will receive a coupon for a free ice cold treat from Sonic Drive-In.

During the previous two Cruise Nights, the chamber has collected more than 100 pounds of food.
