Teen pleads guilty to Elk Grove car robberies

A Cook County judge sentenced a Des Plaines teenager to two years in prison with a recommendation for boot camp in exchange for his guilty plea to burglary and possession of stolen property.

Rohn Agaton, 17, pleaded guilty to participating in a series of auto burglaries that took place in Elk Grove Village.

Police say Agaton and three co-defendants removed items from unlocked vehicles between November and December 2010.

Co-defendant Jonathan Mendez, 20, of Elk Grove, pleaded guilty to burglary earlier this year and was sentenced to 24 months probation. Also charged are Nicholas Minzenberger, 18, and Alex Pejcinovic, 17, both of Elk Grove.
