Antioch High to get new principal:

John Whitehurst has been named Antioch Community High School's next principal, officials confirmed Tuesday. He will succeed Eric Ernd in June. Ernd is taking a job at a different suburban school. Whitehurst joined District 117 in 1977 and has been an assistant principal since 2006. The school board approved the promotion March 24.
