Dist. 96 candidate has experience, skill

My wife and I are supporting Elizabeth Dietz for the District 96 school board. The election of local school board members is important not only for our children, but it can have a major impact on all of us — as the school board is a large determining factor not only in the present, but in the future of our schools, our community and neighborhoods.

We have known Elizabeth Dietz for over 15 years and feel that she would be an excellent District 96 school board member. In 2010, she was appointed to fill a vacancy on the school board and is now running for a four-year term. Over the years, she has been involved with a number of committees and search teams with the school district.

She has been involved with her community’s Homeowner Association Board and being the parent of two elementary school-age children, she has a vested interest in District 96 schools, not only now, but for a number of years to come. As a former elementary schoolteacher and with her current appointment to the District 96 board, she is very knowledgeable of the “goings-on” of the district, is an excellent administrator, and is well qualified for this position.

She believes that it is important to be as involved as possible in the education of her children. So, with her experience, her knowledge of the workings of the board and the district, she will be able to contribute to furthering the high standards the district has achieved and will be able to contribute to the future success of our children, our schools, and the future of our community.

Please join me in voting for Elizabeth Dietz for District 96 school board.
