Palatine District 15 leader makes Garwood his deputy superintendent

The Palatine Township Elementary District 15 board recently approved changing Assistant Superintendent Jim Garwood’s title to deputy superintendent. Superintendent Scott Thompson made the recommendation, saying Garwood has been a strong, stabilizing force allowing successful operations despite changes in the district office. No raise comes with the title change, but Garwood will take on new job responsibilities, including supervising junior high principals and the director of personnel and human services.
