Nearly two-dozen first-graders from Ivy Hall Elementary School in Buffalo Grove will visit with residents at nearby Alden Long Grove Rehabilitation and Health Care Center for a Valentine's Day extravaganza with snacks, food, crafts, cards and fun.

This isn't the first time these groups have gotten together; District 96 and Alden Long Grove started an intergenerational program with the children in 2009, when they were kindergartners at Willow Grove Early Childhood Center.
