Palatine council honors Society to Preserve Human Dignity's 40 years

Women and families in the Northwest suburbs facing the issues of pregnancy and parenting have been turning to the Society to Preserve Human Dignity for the past 40 years.

The not-for-profit organization, which recently moved its headquarters to Colonial Parkway in Inverness, was recognized this week by the Palatine village council for the milestone.

PHD provides free professional counseling, education and support services and accommodates more than 7,000 client visits each year. Executive Director Catherine Vincus, who was on-hand to accept a plaque, said that while it's wonderful to have more space in Inverness, she misses many things about Palatine.

“Thank you so much for the wonderful support the Palatine community has given to PHD for all these years,” Vincus said. “We continue to grow, we continue to thrive.”
