Dog rescue at Lake Zurich salonSalon Coccol#233; Spa, 591 N. Rand Road, Lake Zurich will hold its third dog-rescue event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2. The event will be in support of Almost Home dog shelter. Almost Home representatives will have many dogs in foster care available for adoption. Face painting and dog nail trimming will be available for $5 each, with proceeds going to the shelter. There also will be a $2-per-ticket drawing for a Salon Coccol#233; basket. That money also will go to the shelter. The Lake Zurich Culver's restaurant will donate hot dogs and soft drinks for the event.
