    In what officials say is an effort to provide more personalized service, a Grayslake charter school will break from tradition and have two teachers double as top building administrators for the 2014-15 academic season. Teacher Tony Zamiar will be dean in the morning at Prairie Crossing Charter School’s Carson building. Instructor Kelly Smith will be the dean, or administrator on duty, in the afternoon at the Comstock building.

    Parents are being advised to skip driving their children to Warren Township High School’s freshmen-sophomore campus because of traffic jams expected from nearby road work in Gurnee. Officials say they expect it’ll be difficult getting to the O’Plaine Road campus because of the building’s proximity to reconstruction of the Grand Avenue bridge over the Des Plaines River.

About 30,000 copies of Keeping Posted+ will land in mailboxes by week’s end with updates from the village, Gurnee Elementary District 56, Warren Township High School District 121 and Woodland Elementary District 50. The three school districts serve Gurnee.
