    Heroin use is on the rise among young, white people in the suburbs, and the Chicago metropolitan area has more heroin-related emergency room visits than New York, Boston and Detroit, according to a study released today by Roosevelt University's Illinois Consortium on Drug Policy. "This trend is going to be long and pronounced, and we're still in the midst of it," says study co-author and consortium director Kathie Kane-Willis.
